A song to brighten your day (blog marathon post 13)
The video embedded above really brings a smile to my face each time I view it. It is a remix version of a classic song from the movie Padosan, which dates back to 1968, and is sung by one of the legendary Indian singers, Kishore Kumar. I embed the original video below.
I love the animation in the remix version, the exaggerated emotions, the sexy lady, the young man madly in love with her and the sequence of events that follows.
I really like the meaning in the lyrics too. (If you know Hindi you'd appreciate it. I find it hard to translate the essence of the song into English)
I am sure the song will brighten your day and take you back to that time you fell madly in love with that one person whom you could just not resist.

oh i used to love thaat song ...it took so long to get that (the aimated one)out of my mind and now here you start it again :)
as for Padosan, my kids watched it for the first time last year along with us and their gparents and my 11 yrold was guffawing throughout, ...pure unadulterated fun..we all had a great time that evening :)

I would go with the older version even the new one is not bad either.
I enjoyed seeing Sunil Dutt, Kishore Kumar and Mehmood expressions in the songs, simply loved it how he fakes singing and backed by his friends.
Great song, whatever version. All songs in that movie were wonderful. Yes, I am an oldie songs fan and the late sixties, early seventies were a glorious period for Hindi film music.
the remix version is great!! kinda exaggerated but really nice... n wud have loved it if the song didn't remind me of Vidyapati swaying around with his cronies, with Bhola sitting abt... I guess you know my pref then!! :)

Loved the anime version...it's just one of those every day stories of girl meets boy...boy falls in love with girl...boy chases girl ..boy and girl leap out of airliner without pressurised suits and romantically plumet towards eath in a loving embrace until the one parachutte opens....the original is also great fun....!
LOVE the original song; the entire movie actually...it's such a mad, classic movie that u can watch any number of times :)
